Lasik Astigmatism Correction

Lasik Astigmatism correction issue is very sensitive for LASIK patients who are Astigmatic patients also. Lasik Astigmatism  correction means vision correction by LASIK for astigmatic patients; where astigmatism indicates unequall refractive power of the cornea. Besides Lasik is an eye surgery.  This astigmatism may be associated with Myopia or  Hypermetropia. In the past time lasik surgeons performed a surgical procedure called 'Astigmatic Keratomy'  for astigmatic correction . Then they performed PARK (Excimer Laser Photoastigmatic Refractive Keratectomy).

Now, in mordern era they perform LASIK for Astigmatic correction. But we have to know it that what are the results after lasik surgery? Is astigmatism corrected after  lasik surgery? Basically Lasik is the best option for Myopia and Hyperopia without astigmatism. Most of Lasik Astigmatic patients complain about enhancement correction after Lasik. Some of complains about blurring of vision after surgery. On the other side, most of the patients said that--they  couldn't get  best uncorrected visual acuity (without wearing eye glasees or contact lenses) after Lasik surgery. So, I think Lasik Astimatism Correction issue is one unsolved issue for us.
